Associations
Your association thrives on people who give up their evenings for it. But the membership list, mailbox and domain often depend on individual people, including some who left the board long ago. We make sure everything belongs to the association and that the operations manual records what needs to be handed over when the board changes. We do this for four non-profit associations a year, free of charge and by application.

Who it’s for
Your situation
The association works because people volunteer. But often the membership list is with the treasurer, the association’s email runs via a private mailbox and the website belongs to someone who is no longer on the board. That’s normal for associations – and so far it has mostly gone well.
“Our login details are scattered across various service providers. We want to regain an overview and control.”
What we do
Once a quarter, we support a non-profit association with digitalisation – for example with organising files or setting up digital access. This offer is free of charge for you. We forgo any financial payment and ask instead for your trust and permission to document our collaboration publicly.
With our “Association Place” project, we want to strengthen associations that actively help shape the common good in our society. Our aim is for you to keep control of your digital infrastructure. This secures the stability of your processes, even when boards or responsibilities change.
The Association Place is in addition to the twelve places for businesses. It takes nothing away from any business, and no business takes it away from an association.
Selection is made through a process with published criteria, not through a price. Whoever gets the place gets the whole package within one quarter.
We work for free. You allow us to report on it.
An assessment call.
A shared filing system with permissions per office.
Logins in the association’s name.
An operations manual with an emergency sheet.
Three follow-up sessions.
Fixed scope, one quarter, by video call. Everything created remains with the association.
Your name mentioned in the report.
Photos and a short film during the work.
Verifiable figures.
An open ear for other associations.
A board resolution and a person with time.
Commitment is the decisive factor for us. Without this commitment, a structure gets left behind as soon as everyday life returns.
One association per quarter. Four steps.
Four questions we have for you
Common questions
Nothing. We offer our digitalisation project to one association per quarter free of charge. You “pay” us in two ways: first, with permission for us to document the project and later use it for communication purposes (name, photos, film, report). Second, with your commitment as an association (the board is behind the package, you have named a fixed point of contact and can keep all agreed sessions).
Because it’s our mission. We want businesses and associations to keep full control of their digital data – independent of individual people or service providers. Associations make an indispensable contribution to society, often unpaid. With our support for associations, we want to do our part for the common good.
Simply by email, PDF or video, as long as the application window is open. In it, feel free to answer the four questions above from the application section. We confirm receipt of your application within two working days.
One named person needs to plan time over one quarter for the assessment call, the set-up and three follow-up sessions. We agree the exact duration together before the start. As a rule, though, you can expect around two hours a week. The rest of the board only needs time for a resolution and the final handover.
The new board takes over a clean structure: logins in the association’s name, an operations manual and an emergency sheet. Permissions are assigned according to role (e.g. access to the accounts for the treasurer’s office).
No. Accounts, domains and software belong to the association. Everything created remains your property. If you wish, you can request permanent support at the regular price after the quarter.
